The upcoming device will allegedly be known as Samsung Focus S2. The original Focus was the most successful Windows Phone handsets of the first generation. The successor will be the Windows Phone equivalent for the Android version of the Galaxy S3.
Here are the rumored specifications of the Samsung Focus S2:
•4.7 inch high definition display
•quad core faster processor (depends on region)
•12 MP rear camera
•2 MP front camera
•dedicated camera button
•Samsung Cloud support
•Improved Photo Studio
The standard Windows Phone buttons will mostly end up on the Focus S2. The dedicated camera button is a welcome addition. As of now, the device will be announced for US. The handset will be available through Sprint, Verizon and AT&T with LTE support. The release date for these carriers will be in October as the WP8 will launch only then. The date for T-Mobile is not yet announced.
If this comes true, there will be more pressure on Nokia as it will have to struggle hard to match the killer smartphone. Already we mentioned that Samsung will be launching a Windows Phone 8 device in October.
