Wheat flour prices increased in Sri Lanka

Apr 26, Colombo: The price of one kilogram of wheat flour has been increased by Rs. 8.50 with effect from midnight Thursday (26), official sources said.
Accordingly, the new price of a kilogram of wheat flour will be Rs. 97.50.

Both the two major milling companies Prima and Serendib have requested a price hike due to losses incurred in the importing of wheat flour following the depreciation of the rupee and increase in transport costs.
